When you think of an angel what is it you think of, do you think of god's children spreading his love.
Do you think of the heaven beyond clouds in the sky, or do you think about wings that gracefully fly.
Do you think of what it would be like to be in an angels flight, or do you think of their halo's that shine ever so bright.
Do you think about the miracles they perform everyday, or do you just think about being an angel someday.

You will never be gone / Lynn Owens
In God's Hands / Dianne
A voice for those that could not speak You answered their silent call. You put your heart out for the very weak By standing so very tall.
On your knees you prayed for life With the strongest of devotion. Head on you faced this strife With loving, heartfelt emotion.
Your heart cried in silent pain How to stop this affliction. Pray to God to remove this stain By the power of your conviction.
The life of those so innocent You fought so hard to save. All the countless hours spent All yourself you gave.
You're truly inspirational For everything you do. The world would be sensational If others aspired to be like you.
A man like you is very rare Unwaivering beliefs, your stand. A heart who loves beyond compare, Surely holding Our Lord's Hand.

Of Rick.... Who is resting high on that mountain
There is no beginning or end to the Kingdom Of Heaven. For God said "I am the Alpha And the Omega"
Rick is surely in the presence of God.
So when you think of him, PLEASE
Don't think of him as gone away: his journey's just begun. Life holds so many facets this earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away.
And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched.. for nothing loved is ever lost-- and he was loved so much !!!

A CANDLE FOR YOU RICK / Linda Owens (cousin)
May this candle burn as brightly, steadfastly and as beautiful as the inspiration and the memories you have left behind. We will always rejoice that we were blessed to know you and love you.
Impressioins of Rick / Kathy Harrison (friend) Rick impressed me from the moment I met him-his smile, his quiet spirit. He seemed a man who knew what he was about, and who was mostly happy with his life He had principles, and he lived by them. He put the gifts God gave him to good use. He lived a life of integrity.
A good friend / Kathy-Ann Caesar (Friend)
Rick was a of the truest and dearest friends a person could have. And one of the few to always call me "Kathy-Ann". Over the last few yeas we have only communicated via email and know we both knew he would be there as a friend ... and he was.. Just a here a ago I sent him belated birthday wishes. His thank you message was full of concerns for my then 2 month daugther. Thanks Rick and God Bless (Born and Gone in the month of Saints).
Hi Rick, You were the stars that were seen in your Mom's eyes. You were the diamonds dusting her lashes as she cried. You were the thought that turned her lips up in a smile You were the inspiration that made her go that extra mile. Once in a while God sends down one of His "special" ones. And its the greatest of honors to birth one of these star born. They shine so early and brightly, they light up our life. We can never imagine that one day they might die. But, Grieve not proud Mother, look up into the night sky. Rick's one of the brightest stars lighting God's Heavenly night.
I wish you peace, love and joy, Lyn Owens
I'M FREE / Jan Stevens (cousin)
I'M FREE DON'T GRIEVE FOR ME FOR NOW I'M FREE. I'M FOLLOWING THE PATH GOD LAID FOR ME. I TOOK HIS HAND WHEN I HEARD HIM CALL. I TURNED MY BACK AND LEFT IT ALL. I COULD NOT STAY ANOTHER DAY. TO LAUGH, TO LIVE, TO WORK OR PLAY. TASK LEFT UNDONE MUST STAY THAT WAY. I'VE FOUND MY PEACE AT THE CLOSE OF DAY. IF MY PARTING HAS LEFT A VOID. THEN FILL IT WITH REMEMBERED JOY. A FRIENDSHIP SHARED, A LAUGH, A KISS. AH YES, THESE THINGS I TOO WILL MISS. BE NOT BURDENED WITH TIMES OF SORROW. I WISH YOU THE SUNSHINE OF TOMORROW. MY LIFE'S BEEN FULL, I'VE SAVORED MUCH. GOOD FRIENDS, GOOD TIMES, A LOVED ONE'S TOUCH. PERHAPS MY TIME SEEMED ALL TO BRIEF. DON'T LENGHTEN IT NOW WITH UNDUE GRIEF. LIFT UP YOUR HEART AND SHARE WITH ME. GOD WANTED ME NOW; HE SET ME FREE.
Never Be Gone / Alma Chaney (Mother) When I stand in the rain, getting wet to the bone, I will feel your embrace, and know we’re never apart. When I feel the wind, blowing soft on my face, I will hear your voice, in a room in my heart. You’ll never be gone.
Mom
Goodbye/ Alma Chaney (Mother) GOODBYE I always took for granted, what I thought I'd never lose. Because I never thought it would happen, until I heard the dreaded news. They say you were chosen for his garden, His preciously hand picked bouquet. "God really needed him, That's why he couldn't stay."
Saying goodbye is never easy, It's the hardest thing to do. But what hurts me even more Is not the chance to say it to you.
So today, Jesus, as you are listening in your home above; Would you go and find my son, And give him all my love!

I remember Rick from high school. We were in several classes together, and I often spent time at Ricks house. Alma if you remember from Rick's freshman year, I was the pudgy one, lol. Do you remember picking us up at the police station when we got caught wrapping William's house?
It was with great surprise that learned that Rick was not only a meteorolegist but also a storm chaser. I never would have known of his love for weather. I am, however, not surprised at his intense involvement with the Catholic Church. Rick was devout even as a high schooler. I can remember waiting with friends while Rick ran in for Confession at the SFA Catholic student center.
I offer my Condolences to the family, and a remberence of times gone by. Rick seems to have led a successful and full life. Remember the excitement of his life, his successes and failures. And know that you will meet agian, and never say goodbye.
